DMI Dubai assures the highest international quality standards as per ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018. In addition, all relevant marine components are processed to classification society approved procedures. Component certification can be provided by all major classification societies including Lloyds, GL, DNV, and ABS.

Our group’s quality assurance and quality control continually monitors and improves procedures that are used in the organization to ensure the highest level of quality for our customers. Our employees are trained to take proper care of all QC equipment. Additionally we hire third party organizations to maintain and regularly calibrate all our measurement tools.

DMI has consistently pioneered developments in welding, electro-mechanical metal spraying and finishing techniques that have helped to transform the art of reconditioning.

Individual companies within the DMI group have been responsible for the introduction of landmarks such as the chrome plating of piston ring grooves, reconditioning of cylinder covers, reconditioning of nimonic valve spindles and the revolutionary plating techniques allowing permanent self-lubrication in chromium-plated cylinder liners.

DMI has worked closely with major engine builders and ship operators to overcome the challenges set by the new generation of super efficient diesel engines burning low grade fuels. The high burn-down rates and cracking of new components has been solved by the application of various surface treatments and the development of new reconditioning techniques for bore cooled components.

DMI thrives on such challenges and is continually developing new techniques to overcome the numerous problems of wear and corrosion which occur in all sectors of industry.
